The holidays are officially here! If you’re like me, you’ve been thinking about Christmas since last March, hoping and wishing that surely the craziness of 2020 would be past us by now. Obviously we’re still in the throes of it but in my mind that means we’ve got to do all we can to create as much happiness and love to tie up the end of this year. Welcome To Our Holiday Home
Every year I decide on a color theme and this year I decided to go with black and white complimented by jeweled tones. These colors together always make me happy and we need lots of that in 2020

I had to include this sweet picture that my 10 year old, Henry, took for me. Love his attention to detail!
My mother in law gifted our boys a full Christmas village years ago. They look forward to the village every year and it’s set up not just in our hallway but in our living room too.
I’m one of those people who switch out their artwork on their wall and bookshelves to add in my favorite pieces for the holidays.
Living Room All Decked Out
Our Christmas tree is never fancy. The kids decorate it, we do the colorful blinking lights and we have a multi color techno star. I know, I know, I’m a decor blogger, I should have the perfectly curated tree but in our home, the perfect holiday home is one filled with color and items that tell a story.
The infamous techno star that is sadly no longer available. I also tried to do the ribbon this year. It wasn’t awesome and this is the best I could do after several tries and YouTube videos. What can I say? I’m not crafty. At all.
Every year we clear the built in bookshelves and create and Christmas wonderland with my mother in law’s Christmas village. I’m LOVING all the pink vibes this year. We need more pink in 2020, am I right?

I couldn’t resist these Christmas plaid chandelier shades when I spotted them at my local thrift score. Plaid with black and white is another favorite pairing of mine.
THe HEart of the HOme|| The Kitchen and family room
Cozy is the name of the game when if comes to this part of our home. We burn lots of fires during the colder months while we watch sports or family movies. We also start Christmas morning here with a big breakfast and stockings!
I feel like we need more love in the world.
And another favorite paring of mine….okay so I have lots! I LOVE animal print with plaid. Any day, any season, any reason. ALWAYS
THe BoyCave (I mean basement)
I wasn’t planning on decorating the basement but then I figured, why not? Maybe it’ll help my kids remember the reason for the season. I mean, it probably won’t but this is a home tour and this is a very well loved and used part of our home so I did it. I made it cheery.
This sweet reindeer pillow lights up! Super cute if I ever decide to put batteries in it.
The boys told me this was me in elf form so naturally I put her in the basement so she can keep an eye on them.
Oliver actually asked to be in a picture. I was shocked but then my husband reminded me that he’s not doing anything different than he normally does which is to stare at the screen like he does when he plays video games.

It’s not Christmas unless you have a fun glass to drink your holiday drinks in. Duh
The Boys’ Christmas Trees
Though I don’t go all out and decorate each of the bedrooms, I do give each of the boys their own sports tree. Oliver’s is a football tree decorated with vintage football cards and pins.
Henry’s tree is baseball themed, again with vintage baseballs cards and pins from my husband’s collection from when he was little.
The Office
WHEN I SAW THIS GINORMOUSE WREATH IN HOMEGOODS I KNEW I HAD TO HAVE IT FOR MY OFFICE. IT WAS THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS ADDITION.
MY FRIEND, WILLOW, GIFTED THESE PINK OMBRE SPARKLE TRESS TO ME. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!
